Anglicare WA congratulates the Cook Labor Government on its re-election, as well as all re-elected and newly elected Members of Parliament.
Anglicare WA looks forward to the new government implementing their election commitments across our advocacy priorities to ensure A Fair Life, A Better WA, including:
Boost the supply of more social and affordable housing and support services
Investment in housing and construction workforce initiatives
Universal access to high quality early childhood education and care
Increase funding for financial counselling services
Expansion of the Hardship Utilities Grants Scheme eligibility to social housing tenants for water
Expansion and uplift of the Patient Assisted Travel Scheme (PATS)
Expansion of the breakfast program to more WA schools
Cheaper public transport for University and TAFE students with the introduction of one zone fares
More investment in men’s behaviour change programs
Family and domestic violence training for first responders and justice system workers
Here at Anglicare WA, we are nonpartisan and will continue to work with the WA State Government and elected officials to ensure implementation of key election commitments across our advocacy priorities.
