Support Groups

Support groups provide so much more than just a place to talk. They provide a space to connect with those who have shared experiences and find support from people who understand and are experiencing the same emotions.

To find out more about when support groups are being held please contact ARBOR on 1300 11 44 46. To ensure Participants are attending the support group most appropriate to their needs, they will need to attend an initial assessment with one of the ARBOR counsellors prior to attending a group.

Eight Week Support Group: Recently Bereaved

A small group setting for those who have been bereaved by suicide between three months and two years.

This is an understanding group in a confidential setting and a valuable way to gain information about suicide and the unique issues and experiences associated with bereavement following a suicide.

Participants have the opportunity to develop resources to assist with this experience as well as spend time and communicate with others who have also been bereaved through suicide.

This group runs several times a year and we require that Participants meet with one of the group facilitators before attending.

All of ARBOR's groups are free.
