Engage Holiday Support

Anglicare WA is offering “Engage - Holiday Support” to assist West Australians navigate the challenges of the Christmas period.

You can find this support linked from the Anglicare WA homepage, through social media posts, and on QR posters at service locations.

This initiative provides guidance in several key areas to help manage the challenges of the holidays:

• Managing Relationships
• Looking after you, and kids' self-care
• Financial Tips
• Kids and Technology Over the Holidays
• Where to Get Support: Including 24/7 crisis support, financial assistance, community resources, and mental health services.

The content, developed by Joy Hartig and enhanced with resources from Friend in Need, aims to support family relationships during the Christmas break.

Special creations for Engage Holidays Support

1. Interactive Kids self-care advent calendar -- find this on the Self Care for kid's page of the Engage website
2. The very first Anglicare WA Podcast Hosted by Simone (She, her, hers) Relationship Educator, Anglicare WA and Child and Family Advocate -- We dive into practical strategies to navigate family dynamics, maintain healthy relationships, set boundaries and ensure self-care amidst the festive chaos. Tune in for expert advice, personal anecdotes and actionable tips.
3. Engage Holiday Support - is a prototype to learn if prospective and waitlist clients find value online preservice support materials over the holiday season.
