In the lead up to the State and Federal elections, Anglicare WA’s Philanthropy Team will be holding two advocacy events for donors and corporate partners to drive systemic change across our four advocacy priorities.
The first event is a donor breakfast on 13 February and the second event is an evening BBQ for corporate partners on 26 February titled ‘Advocate for Change: Walk with Us’. Both events will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn about Anglicare WA’s advocacy priorities and policy proposals, discuss the upcoming elections, and be part of the solution.
Corporate Relationship Manager Jacqueline Chambers stated the following:
Through Anglicare WA’s work with individuals and families, we have learned about the structural issues shaping people’s lives, including structures that keep people in poverty, keep people out of the workforce, and prevent people from getting the support they need. We want to tackle some of those structural issues head on to support Western Australians. Our corporate partners and donors can play an important role by sharing their thoughts, experiences, and ideas with us. Together we can advocate for structural change.”
